The Fair Housing Center of Southeastern Michigan staff, along with the Michigan Poverty Law Program, and Legal Services of South Central Michigan, will be holding Housing Advocates Training (HAT) on May 15 and a Welfare Policy Seminar(WPS) on May 25, 2012, in Ypsilanti, Michigan. Registration is required.
HAT is designed to help social service workers gain a working knowledge of fair housing law, landlord/tenant law, and housing subsidy programs. WPS focuses on the Department of Human Service’s most popular programs. This two-day training is an excellent resource for anyone working as an advocate (clients/consumers also welcome).
